Alex Iwobi helped Fulham reached the League Cup semi-final at the expense of his former team, Everton, on Tuesday.
Iwobi returned to Goodison Park for the first time to face his former teammates since leaving for Fulham, and he came out on top.
The midfielder gave a good shift and lasted for 87th minutes before being substituted.
Iwobi’s compatriot, Calvin Bassey also returned to team after missing weekend’s league defeat at Newcastle United due to illness.
The defender was solid at the back all through the game, completing 52 passes and committed just a foul.
Michael Keane’s goal at the 41st minute propelled Fulham into the lead, only to be matched by Beto’s equalizer for Everton at the 82nd minute.
The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes and Fulham triumphed 7-6 on penalties.
