While the start of the unified tertiary registration examination of 2025 (UTME), the joint council for admission and atrimonization (JAM) has published an official list of strictly prohibited elements of all exam sites. Applicants are advised to take this warning seriously to avoid being excluded from taking the exam.
According to Jamb, candidates must not bring any element on the prohibited list near the place of examination, not to mention the room. The council clearly indicated that Any candidate who disobeys this directive will not be authorized to take the examination.
What are the prohibited articles for JAM 2025?
Hack 23 articles which are not allowed inside the examination room:
- Biro and pen
- Similar mobile phones or electronic devices
- Spy reading glasses (they will be carefully checked)
- Calculators or electronic devices of any kind
- USB, CD, hard drives and similar items
- Books or any form of reading / writing material
- Cameras
- Recorders
- Microphones
- Pillows
- Ink players or pen players
- Smart or contact lenses
- Smart rings and smart jewelry
- Smart buttons
- Bluetooth devices
- Keychain
- ATM cards
- Range
- Handkerchiefs
- Towel
- Money
- Hoodies (sweaters with caps)
- Caps
Jamb stressed that these elements can cause suspicion of professional misconduct and will not be tolerated in or around a place of examination.
Reprint of your notification slip early
Jamb also reminded candidates to reprint their UTME 2025 notification slips. This shift contains vital information, including the examination date, time, place and session.

- Click on “2025 Utme Slip Printed”
- Enter your JAM recording number, your e-mail address or your phone number
- Print your exam slip
Why is it important to print early
According to the Director of IT of Jamb, the printing of the early Slip helps candidates to know their schedule in advance, especially since the schedule of the exam can be adjusted. Early knowledge of the place and time allows candidates to make the necessary arrangements and avoid delay.
No excuse will be accepted for arriving lateAnd Jamb will not reprose the exams for any reason.
Biometric verification is compulsory
Jamb said all candidates will have a biometric check before entering the examination room using the biometric verification machine (BVM). Without this verification, you will not be allowed to take the exam. Attendance will also be recorded strictly through this method.
Jam reaffirmed his “No biometrics, no exam” policy.
