Jamb scandal: ‘Even the dead can see southeast of targeted’, Aisha Yesufu claims

Activists and Co-Conversing from The Bring Back Our Girls Movement, are the belief that the scandal originated from mass failure in the examination of the new tertiary matriculation (UTME) that has just been carried out by the Joint Reception and Matriculation Council, targets southeast because most candidates who fail in the test come from the region.

Yesfu’s claim emerged after the Clerk of Jamb, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede openly admitted that technical errors caused errors that influenced student performance during the 2025 exam.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Oloyede said that of the 1.9 million candidates sitting in UTME, more than 1.5 million reportedly received a score below 200 out of 400 maximum value, increasing concerns in the education sector where 379,997 candidates in the five southeastern states were affected.

When reacting to Oloyede’s open recognition, Yesufu took the verified Handke of X to mention that it glared at IGBO students in the southeastern region targeted by Jamb with the aim of destroying their education.

“It’s no longer smooth! Even the dead can see that southeast is targeted!

“Millions of children are killed and today you want to destroy the education of hundreds of thousands of children,” the activist wrote.
