Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars have parted ways with head coach Paul Offor.
Offor, who was unveiled as the club’s new coach in July 2024 on a two-year contract, replaced Abdul Maikaba.
However, in a shocking turn of events, the 35-year-old former Sporting Lagos coach was sacked without managing the team in a single match.
The club released a statement which read: “Kano Pillars Football Club announces the mutual termination of the contract with its technical advisor, Paul Offor. The decision was taken in good faith and with mutual consent, which highlights the mutual understanding between both parties.”
As Kano Pillars FC looks to the future, the club is set to appoint a new technical advisor to lead the team in the upcoming 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season, the statement said.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, through the club’s Media Directorate.
Paul Offor had joined the club during the previous board of directors, which was dissolved by the state government after its interim term expired.
