Responding to the surge of incidents related to violent gangs throughout the metropolis, the Kano State National Police Command has declared an all-out war against Thugger, which is local known as Yan Daba, as part of an intensive strategy to restore the law and order in the state.
Police Commissioner Ibrahim Adamu Bakori has issued directions to all regional commanders, division police officers, and tactical units to take immediate and comprehensive action against known Thug hiding places. The goal, according to the command, is to identify, disturb, and neutralize these criminal cells with urgency and precision.
The decision was announced in a statement released on Sunday, June 15, by the Deputy Officers of Public Relations Police Abdullahi Hussaini, spoke on behalf of CP Bakori.
This new offensive participated in the high -level security summit held by the Commissioner on Saturday, June 14, where he spoke to senior officers and put his zero tolerance policy on all forms of street violence and gang activities.
At the meeting, CP Bakori stated clearly: “The threat of Yan Daba will no longer be tolerated,” warning officers to act better and firmly to prevent criminal escalation. To revive this plan, the order has adopted a dual strategy that combines operations led by intelligence with community -based police. Officers have been ordered to quickly act on credible tips and launch an attack targeted at a location where criminals are believed to hide.
Simultaneously, the order strengthens its involvement with community leaders, youth groups, and residents in an effort to gather timely intelligence and foster trust between the public and law enforcement.
The commissioner emphasized that this fight was not one of the police alone, referring to an increase in efforts to collaborate with other security agents and the main stakeholders throughout the canoe.
He noted: “The safety and safety of the Kano people remain our top priority. We will not rest until the country is free from the grip of the Daba gang and other criminal elements that threaten our collective peace.”
When praising officers who have worked in a volatile environment, CP Bakori asks the public to remain vigilant and share information about suspicious activities.
“Citizens’ cooperation is very important in eradicating criminal elements from their community,” he stressed, urged the canoe people to unite with the police in reclaiming their environment from violence and fear.
