Arsenal is considering a shock movement to sign the Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to reports.
Kepa, 30, spent this season on loan with Bournemouth, where he maintained eight clean leaves in 31 appearances in the Premier League.
The Spanish softener is surplus of the requirements in Chelsea, who signed it for £ 72 million in 2018, a record rate for a goalkeeper.
But his time with the blues was not planned and Kepa has been borrowed with Bournemouth and Real Madrid, playing for Chelsea in 2023.
Now it seems that a permanent exit is on the cards after Sky Sports revealed that Arsenal is interested in signing Kepa to provide a backup for David Raya.
It is believed that Kepa is available for only 5 million thanks to a release clause in his contract that was agreed before his loan moved to cherries last summer.

Kepa’s current contract with Chelsea expires in 2026.

Arsenal had been linked to a movement to sign the Espanyol Joan García goalkeeper this summer, but the League Gloveman now seems ready for a transfer to Barcelona.
Mikel Arteta and his team expect to add depth between the sticks, but it is believed that they still see David Raya as number one.
