Keyamo ordered NCAA to prohibit Wasiu Ayinde from flying over the Abuja Airport incident

The Minister of Flight Development and Aerospace, Festus Keyamo, has directed the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to place Fuji’s music star, Wasiuu Ayinde, in the list of flight ban.

The direction followed the singer violation at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Terminal.

The incident, which involved Ayinde, known as Kwam 1 and two Pilot ValueJet Airlines, caused the suspension of the pilot license.

The pilot has been identified as Captain Oluranti Ogoyi and first officer Ivan Oloba

In a post on the official X Handle @Fkeyamo on Thursday, Keyamo also ordered NCAA to immediately tell the domestic and international airlines from instructions.

He warned that every operator who mocked the direction of the risk of withdrawing the operation license.

The minister condemned the behavior of music and pilot stars during the incident.

The Minister of Writing: “I have received a report from all relevant air institutions regarding the quarrel between the Staff and the ValueJet Crew and Kwam 1 at Abuja Airport on Tuesday, August 7, 2025, with the video recording of the incident.

“Contrary to what Kwam 1 agents say, he continues to move his position on the foundation to block the aircraft from the taxi to take a position on the runway for take-off.

“This is an unacceptable behavior.

“The problem is whether he carries water or alcohol is not even a problem at this time.

“This is a physical blockage of an aircraft from a taxi which is a despicable behavior here, which is similar to the situation of hostages.

“The actual video recording shows this stubborn behavior with this installed.”

He added that there was no number of provocations that caused the captain and co-pilot aircraft starting a taxi without security personnel had safely moved passengers that were difficult to regulate from the front of the aircraft.

He insisted that both parties violated the standard safety protocol as required by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
