Kidnapped former member of parliament Joan Onyemaechi has regained his freedom.
The former lawmaker was kidnapped by gunmen in his church compound in Asaba, Delta State, on July 30.
The state police spokesman, Bright Edafe, confirmed the news to journalists on Saturday in Asaba.

He said Onyemaechi was freed by the kidnappers on Friday night.
The spokesman added that details of how the former commissioner of technical education in the state was released would be made public later.
