Kunle Afolayan Bags Tourism entrepreneur of the …- Theconclaveng

The award -winning director Kunle Afolayan was appointed tourism entrepreneur of the year at the international top of tourism investments just ended in Ibadan, in Oyo’s state.

The prize was awarded to the evening of dinner and tourism of the Governor, the end of the three -day top of the top of the three -day top held from 22 to 24 July 2025.

The event took place at the International Conference Center, University of Ibadan.

The summit, tagged #itoyostate2025, brought together the best players in tourism and hospitality, including government officials, investors, developers and creatives, to explore the ways to increase the tourist potential of Oyo by preserving its culture and creating jobs.

As the founder of Kap Film Village & Resort, one of the most important integrated creative and tourist cinematographic destinations in Nigeria, Afolayan has built an ecosystem that combines narrative, heritage and tourism.

For Afolayan and his team, the prize is more than personal recognition. He affirms their vision to build a place that tells African stories and promotes culture with care and consistency.

“We are really grateful for this recognition,” said Kap Management. “It is not just a man’s dream. It is a team that continues to work with a passion to build something lasting.”

They also thanked the governor Seyi Makinde; Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal; Akinwale Akinwole, president of the Oyo State Local’s local government commission; Tola Achelele, CEO of the National Theater; and the art of the ministry, the culture and the creative economy for their encouragement and support.

“This prize is not the end,” added Kap Management. “It is fuel to continue going on, continue to dream and continue to build something that makes Nigeria proud.”
