Lagos and Abia two other cities get new CP

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of police commissioners for Lagos and three other states.

The other states are Abia, Akwa Ibom and Ebonyi.

PSC spokesman Ikechukwu Ani confirmed the development in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

He said the appointment followed the promotion of a number of CPs to the next rank, namely Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

Isah Danladi Nda will head to Abia State command.

Anthonia Adaku Uche Anya was appointed as the new CP for Ebonyi command and Miller Gajere Dantawaye for Akwa Ibom.

Dantawaye will replace Waheed Ayilara who died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) on August 29.
