
In a move to build a world -class public service, the Lagos state government has launched a two -day executive leadership program for its public employees.
The initiative, a collaboration between the Ministry of Tertiary Education and the Roma Business School, in Nigeria, aims to provide public employees with the skills necessary to meet the evolution needs of the modern government.
The training, held at the Marriot Hotel, Ikeja, was formally launched by the head of service of the State of Lagos, Mr. Bode Agoro.
In his key speech, Agoro said that the partnership reflects the administration’s commitment against “an efficient, forward -looking and competitive public service at a global level”.
He urged the participants to exploit the opportunity to acquire the tools necessary to lead to the highest levels of government and translate their new skills into tangible results.
The commissioner for tertiary education, Tolani Sule, has strengthened the importance of the initiative, calling it a “critical investment in the future of the state”.
