Lekki Volleyball Club’s Cruise Cup Tournament Marks Third Edition

The third edition of the Cruise Cup Volleyball Tournament, organized by the Lekki Volleyball Club, took place last weekend on October 29, 2023.

This exclusive indoor tournament is designed for club members and is hosted once every quarter of the year. The aim of this event is to celebrate camaraderie and sportsmanship among the club’s members.

In a special twist for this edition, the tournament welcomed celebrity guest Kate Henshaw, who added a lively and energetic atmosphere to the event. Her presence truly boosted the spirit of both participants and spectators alike.

The tournament featured four female and four male teams, all comprised of club members. These teams competed in friendly matches against each other. In the end, the Kings team emerged victorious in the male category, while the Bishop’s team secured the top position in the female category.

The Cruise Cup was a one-day event that commenced at 6 PM and continued until 10 PM. It was an enjoyable and lively occasion for all participants and attendees. The event was made possible through the support of various sponsors, including Ewami Essentials, Malta Guinness, Shoe Sensei, and Nadara.

The Cruise Cup has successfully fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among the members of the Lekki Volleyball Club, and it continues to grow in popularity as a highly anticipated event on the club’s calendar.
