Liberia defeated Guinea Bissau 3-1 at the 2025 West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone βAβ Womenβs Cup at the Stade Ksar in Nouakchott, Mauritania on 22 May.
United States-based Mimi Eiden scored a second half brace after Bissau took a 10 minute lead and an equalizer from Jessica Quachie, who was named queen of the match, in the 43rdΒ minute.
Mali defeated hosts Mauritania 5-0 also in Group βAβ at the Cheikha Boidya in Nouakchott on 22 May.
Liberia will meet Mauritania while Mali will take on Bissau at 19:00GMT on 24 May respectively. Β
Guinea, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Gambia are in Group βBβ.
WAFU rescheduled the tournament after Liberia and Sierra Leone were stranded in obtaining visas in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Conakry, Guinea respectively.
The tournament, which should have been held from 19-31 May, will run from 22-31 May.
The Liberian government provided US$134,000 to cover the teamβs expenses. Β
