The former auditor of the national accounts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former CEO of the National Inland Waterways Authority (Niwa), Dr. George Moghalu, the candidate of the Labor Party (LP) for the elections of the Governor of the State of Anambra of 8 November emerged Saturday.
The rivalry of Moghalu, John Chuma Nwosu, took a step forward for him even before the elections.
The candidate for the LP brand interviewed a total of 573 delegated votes to defeat his only competitor, Chuma Nwosu, who obtained 19 votes in the primary elections of the governor of Hitchfree held in Awka, the state capital in the middle of narrow security.
Speaking after the free, just and transparent primary, Moghalu admitted that, although contesting the historical operator, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, will not be a tea party, defeating it is still feasible.
He assured the delegates and the people of Anambra who will not betray the trust they have conferred on him.
Describing himself as the best man for work.
He also promised to restore the trust that the people of the State lost in the current government.
According to him; “The elections in which we are going on November 8, in the football palace, are the Premier League that requires our first team. I appeal to the delegates so that this primary has the analogy in your mind before making that decision today.
“You have to choose a candidate who will use for the main elections. Managing an election against a historical operator is not a tea party but it is feasible and for us, we must put the first foot forward. This is what I am pleading with you to put your trust in me and I will not betray your trust if you check my tracks,” he said.
By downsizing his mission, Moghalu said: “We are entering these elections determined to change the narrative. The trajectory today is such that the state of anmber needs a rejig. Our safety and basic infrastructure have failed and something must be done.
“I have to recognize that there are areas that have done very well, but there is a need for improvements and we will surely make those improvements for our people’s benefit.
“The most important and critical thing that has taken flight in the policy of Anambra is that people have lost confidence in their government and our mission is to restore the trust of our people in their government and that it can only be possible by offering them a good government. I will restore your trust in me and I will justify it and I will change the narrative.
“You like to trust me, check my political trajectory and you will see that I have never started a project that I have not completed. I represent the light that will bring glory for the name of Almighty God and benefit of Ndianambra,” he assured.
In his acceptance speech, Moghalu said that there is no winner and Vanquish, attractive for his competitor and his supporters to join his hands to ensure that the party emerges victorious in the elections of the governor of November 8.
