Linda Yaccarino has officially resigned as CEO X (previously Twitter) after two years, with his resignation announced on social media on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
His departure occurred after a number of problems, including concerns about the AI chatbot platform, grok, which has just produced antisemite content.
This also happened after a strategic change in March, when X ownership was moved to the AI Musk business, XAI, encouraging concerns about Yaccarino’s involvement.

Yaccarino, a former NBCuniversal advertising executive who was appointed CEO X shortly after Musk received a platform, praised the technology tycoon for an opportunity at a post that announced his departure.

I am very grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting freedom of speech, turning the company, and turning X into all applications, “Yaccarino said.
While he was at the top of the leadership, he was entrusted to restore the advertiser’s confidence and change X into a “all application” of Musk. The upcoming debut of community and financial instruments X Money is among the projects he handles.
