The Niger Delta Development Commission is an organization established in 2000 with the mission of fostering the rapid development of the Niger Delta region and making it an economically prosperous and socially stable region.

List of NDDC board membersThe Niger Delta Development Commission has undoubtedly over the years assisted several development projects in the region, starting with the construction of roads, schools, providing scholarships to several students within and outside the country, the provision of water and other basic amenities to make life easier. for residents of the Niger Delta region.

The states that make up the Niger Delta region include Ondo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Cross River and over 9,000 projects have been carried out in this region since its inception in 2002, of which 720 in Abia State. 1,224 in Akwa Ibom, 900 in Bayelsa, 456 in Cross River, 1,730 in Delta, 754 in Edo, 773 in Imo, 851 in Ondo and 2,296 in Rivers.
These projects include 1,290 water supply projects, 4,048 roads and bridges, 251 shoreline rehabilitation/protection projects, 159 jetties, 11 ICT, 29 furniture, 64 equipment, 1,832 electricity, 18 dredging, 70 pipelines and 1,926 buildings.
The NDDC board is generally made up of 15 members, all drawn from the executive and representatives from each of the states in the region, as well as other representatives from other geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
Having achieved all this, the credit goes to the board members of this very organization, past and present, who have put in so much effort and shown much dedication in discharging their duty.
on August 29, the President endorsed Mr. Chiedu Ebie for the position of Chairman of the NDDC Board alongside 16 others on the board of the commission.
