Live after Abure! LP to hold a NEC Meeting Wednesday

The Labor Party will hold a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Wednesday in Abuja.

Spokesman Peter Obi Media Reach, Mr. Ibrahim Umar, revealed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

He said the meeting would be attended by interactive sessions with great stakeholders and other organs from the party.

According to a spokesman, the stakeholders expected at the meeting were LP presidential candidates in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, his partner, Datti Baba-Ahmed, Governor of the State of Abia, Alex Otti, serving and former senators, as well as all senator candidates in the 2023 election.

Others served and former members of the House of Representatives and Candidates in the 2023 election and all members of the National Guard Committee and the National Transition Committee.

It is also expected that the meeting was a former governor candidate who still existed in the party, representatives of the Political Commission Congress Congress /Congress of the Nigerian Labor Union and all members of the previous National Work Committee.

Aliyu said the meeting called by Obi and Otti became necessary to clarify the decision of the new Supreme Court.

The High Court last Friday fired Julius Abure as the Chairperson of the National LP.

The panel of five members of the Supreme Court in its decision stated that the appeal court did not have a jurisdiction for the internal affairs of the party.
