Liverpool Edge is closer to the title with Derby Win, Man City beating Leicester

Liverpool are only about four wins from winning the English Premier League this season after they beat Everton 1-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The Reds struggled against the persistent Toffees team but managed to break the deadlock in the 57th minute when Diogo Jota scored one of the game goals.

Liverpool only need 13 points from the possibility of 24 available to guarantee the 20th top winning worthy and recorded records.

Elsewhere, Southampton held Crystal Palace to a 1-1 draw while Brighton was 3-0 by visiting Aston Villa.

Bournemouth was defeated 2-1 by Ipswich Town, and Newcastle defeated Brentford 2-1.
