Liwa FC of the United Arab Emirates launched the Football Academy in Nigeria.
The Academy hopes to hit both professionals and young players who are interested in combining education and football.
In a ceremony held in Abuja during the weekend, the representatives of Liwa FC, the Captain Mostafa Ali Elsaid and the captain Alhamnadi Anwar were available to attend a partnership that hopes to give young players in Nigeria a journey to reach their desire to play football abroad.
President Liwa Academy Nigeria, Moo Mohammed, said that young Nigerian children now have the opportunity to enjoy scholarships and connect to their dreams that they could see them play in the United Arab Emirates rich in oil.
“We want to have many young players who are passionate, talented, win a scholarship from the Liwa Football Academy to play in some international schools in different countries and also play football.
“We are here not only to discover talents, but also to cultivate, develop them and connect them to their dreams.
“The Liwa Academy United Arab Emirates puts the total sponsorship on board. The Liwa Academy Nigeria represents the United Arab Emirates of Liwa FC. It is like having the same football team in various countries. Everything we will do here will be the same, our kits, programs, training courses, clinics, etc. will be the same as our mother club,” said Moo.
The special guest of honor, the Zecretetteriat mandate, FCT, Dr. AdeDayomi Benjamin Laniyi, said he believed the abundant football talents in Nigeria, Liwa FC will help to model the future of football in the country.
Liwa FC is a professional football team from Emirates based in Abu Dhabi.
