LOC presents members of the Committee for Africa U-18/U-20 Athletics Championships

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the Combined Confederation of the CAA U-18/U-20 championships that remain in Abeokuta, Ogun state, has implemented several subcommittees that will supervise the soft operation of the games. The championships will run from July 16 to 20.

The Loc headed by the Hon. Bukola Olapade, who is also the general director of the National Sports Commission (NSC), reiterated his commitment to deliver a championship that Nigerians and Africans would feel proud.

“Despite the little time for preparations, we are committed to delivering a CAA U-18/U-20 championship without a hook,” he said.

“The members of the committees are professionals in their respective fields and we hope they live up to expectations,” Olopade added.

The committees that have already entered into action include the technical subcommittee headed by the Olympic Enefiok UDO-Obong. Other members are Olawale Olatunji, Lekan Soetan, Olalekan Adebote, Tosin Soladmi, Dr. Mrs. Grace Atha and Ashipa Abayomi.

The accommodation subcommittee has Musa Amadu as president, Tunde Aderibigbe, Yinka Titiloye, Derby Onuzulike and Femi Jaiyesimi are members.

The security subcommittee has the Olympic Fidelis Gadzama as president, with Dauda Omizi, Solomon Aliyu, Col Abbas Mohammed, Dare Esan, Isiaku Abubakar and Akinwunmi Fashake as members.

The Media and Publicity Sub-Committee Has Gowon Akpodonor As Chairman, With Michael Azeez Ogunsiji, Ben Efe, Charles Ogundiya, Kola Daniel, Tobi Adepoju Ogajana, Arabirin Aderonke Atoyebi (Co-Opted Member), Suleiman Pooja Adebayo, Chichi Nwoko (Co-Opted Member), Mike Obasi and Aaron Akerejoia as members.

The protocols subcommittee has Arabirin Aderonke Atoyebi as president, with Iene Idiong, Sule Salabiu, representative of the immigration services of Nigeria and the state of Ogun as members.

The former triple nigeria jumper, Rosa Collins, heads the ceremonial/entertainment, with Shola Ogundele, Oluyomi Sule, Ejiro Okurame, the state representative of Ogun and Mutiu Oluwa as members.

The Marketing, Brand and Communication Sub-Committee has Chichi Nwoko as president and Osaze Ebueku (co-president). The members are Mirian Opara, Tendai Ruckwava, Melinda Lonbard, Munya Maraire, Marek Mill and Seun Harper (secretary).

The voluntary subcommittee has Jude Anyadufu as president, with Dr. Joseph Ogabor, Otunba Akin Akinbobola, Hon. Farouk Yarma, Ebidowei Oweifie, Abiodun Elobede, Maria Wophill (co-opted member), Enefiok Udo-Obong (co-opted member).

Feeding the subcommittee has Babatunde Adeluola as president, with Yetunde Onilogbo, IFE Ogunlaja, Lekan Aryeun as members, while Folashade Falokun is secretary.

The transport subcommittee has Hon. Wasiu Isiaka as president, with Dr. Adela Son, Abiodun Adebiyi, Adeniyi Adeyemi as members, while Addokun Adewale serves as secretary.

The subcommittee of Liason has Maria Wophil as president, with Olumide Bamiduro, Oluode Olubunmi and Ekanem Benedict as members, while Talang Tanimu is secretary.

The Finance Subcommittee has Ladan Almustopha as president, with Ochigbo Ameh, Abi June Francis and Ahmed Mohammed as members, while Joseph Peter is the secretary.

The Venue/Installation Management Subcommittee has the Hon. Bukola Olopade as president, with Dr. Emmanuel Igbinosa, Dr. Adela and Prince Tunji Onatolu as members.

The medical subcommittee has Dr. Paul Onyeo as president, with Dr. Thankgod Coleman, Joseph Okoh and two representatives of the Government of the State of Ogun. as members.

The anti -doping subcommittee has FEMI Ayorinde as president, with Fadeke Fadeyibi, Dr. Sam Ogbodeminu, Rep. Of the Government of the State of Ogun, and Raphael Odo as secretary.

The Secretariat/Subcommittee of Accreditation has Sagaya Abdulmumeen as president, with Abiola Odetola, Bola Alake, Rep. Of the Government of the State of Ogun, and IFEANYI OSSAI as secretary.
