The chief coach, Justine Madugu has announced a formidable Super Falcons team of 24 women for the 13th Cup of Nations of Women’s Africa (WAFCON).
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Chiamaka Ndazie, Francisca Ordera and Asisat Oshoala will lead Nigeria’s campaign for a tenth continental title that extends records.
The tournament will remain from July 5 to 26, 2024 in Morocco, with Nigeria drawn in Group B along with Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria.
Nigeria’s last Wafcon crown arrived in 2018, and the team will be shooting by redemption after a disappointing semifinal departure in 2022.

Training and friendship schedule
The team began its first training phase in Abuja on Thursday, with sessions that continue until Saturday.
They leave for a final camp in Lisbon, Portugal, Sunday morning.
