Man stabs colleagues to death in the Lagos Island Market

The police operation in Lagos had arrested an Adindu ebose for allegedly stabbing his colleague to death at the Balogun market on Lagos Island on Wednesday.

A spokesman for the State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident in a statement in Ikeja.

He also refused ethnic conflict reports in the market.

Witnesses told reporters at the scene that the dispute was caused by money.

The spokesman said: “The Lagos State Police Command with this wants to tell the general public that there is no ethnic clash or disturbance between any ethnic group and others in the Balogun market today.

“There was a free battle incident for all between several criminals and criminals at the Balogun Market in the early morning around 11:00

During the battle, one Adindu open from the state of Abia stabbed a Sodiq Ibrahim from the state of Kogi to death, and Ebose Adindu who said in turn stabbed the shoulder and became unconscious. He is currently detained at the hospital, where he was treated.

“Investigation of this problem will be concluded, and he will be prosecuted after he is expelled from the hospital. There is no loss of innocent life or injury to people or damage to goods and the nature of marketers in the Balogun Market.”
