Manchester City will face Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinals

Manchester City will host Premier League rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals, BBC Sport reports.

The heavyweight pairing was confirmed after the draw concluded on Monday.

League One Port Vale’s reward for beating Sunderland in the FA Cup is a quarter-final draw against Chelsea.

Arsenal, record 14-time winners, visit Southampton, eighth in the championship.

Leeds United will travel to the winners of Monday’s match between West Ham United and Brentford.

Port Vale are the lowest ranked team left in the competition. It will be the first time they have faced Chelsea in a competitive match since 1929.

The qualifiers will be played during the weekend of April 4 and 5.
