Despite making the difference for Glasgow Rangers against Motherwell, head coach Michael Beale is not satisfied with Cyriel Dessersβ performance.
Dessers scored the winner in a tight contest against Motherwell on Sunday, and it was his second league goal of the campaign for the Gers, following his β¬5m move from Cremonese.
In a chat with the clubβs website, Beale says heβs expecting more from the forward and his teammates, saying, they have qualities to do more.
βIβm looking for more from this group of players and my staff as well. I donβt take one bit of comfort from this win.
βIt wasnβt a game I enjoyed at all; I donβt think the players enjoyed it either. We have two more games this week and itβs down to me and the players to respond and show better than what we did in this game. it was nowhere near good enough.β
Dessers finished off a fine team against Motherwell and it is one of the finest goals, Rangers had scored this season.
βIt was a good goal from Dessers; it was something that we have worked on. The goal was really good play. If you play it back, the combination play between them was really good play so in that sense, in that moment, they have really shown what they are capable of,β Beale told Rangers TV.
Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership with 12 points from six matches.
The Gers will face Livingston in the quarter-finals of the League Cup on Wednesday, before facing Aberdeen on Saturday.
βAt the end of the game, the only thing you have as a coach and player is the next game, which is really huge. There is an opportunity for everyone, when you play you have to show the quality.β He concluded.
