Minister of Plain Affairs, Waziri, stops PDP

A former Minister of Police Affairs, Adamu Maina Waziri, has resigned from the people’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Waziri, a candidate for governor twice for PDP in Yobe’s state, announced his resignation from Parry in Dogotebo Ward in the Potiscum regional government area in the state on Tuesday.

The former minister also handed over his party membership card to the party environment executive.

He said: “I have decided to resign from my membership because of the provisions in the party’s constitution, which requires me to come to my ward – Dogotebo in Potiskum, which is located in elementary schools that are older than me – to submit my resignation letter and formalize the actions that I took about a week ago.

“I want to convince you that this is a very difficult decision. But the young man stood for the chairman was one of my sons, and I urged them to join us in the near future.”
