In an emotional and unforgettable return home, Opal Sucata Chuangsri, the new crowned Miss World 2025, returned to Thailand on Saturday morning, receiving the welcome of a hero who reflected the pride of an entire nation.
The first Miss World of Thailand was welcomed by a sea of โโthousands of people at the Suvarnabhumi airport, where tears, applause and tradition were merged into an impressive exhibition of national units and joy.
Opal arrived accompanied by Julia Morley Cbe, president of the Miss World organization, who was warmly embraced by the Thai people with flowers, applause and profound admiration. The airport’s crowd included young fans, supporters who agitated Thai flags.
Miss World has humbly expressed its deepest gratitude for the real kindness of her real height, the Narratanian Sirivannavari princess Rajakanya, who graticly sent the royal representative Khun Siris Chuachart to the airport to present a real flower bouquet to her as a gesture of congratulations with the opportunities of her return to Thai.
“This real benevolence is an immeasurable and expensive honor, which I will keep in my heart forever with the deepest respect and gratitude,” said Miss World.
Obviously, we cannot forget the many joyful fans who have added their glitter to the celebration, some wear replicas of the crown of Miss World, others clothes from Miss World itself or such as Julia Morley CBE.
Their creativity and enthusiasm were a beautiful reminder of how deeply this victory touched the heart of the Thai people.
Welcome marks a first historian: in 74 years of Miss’ world history, Thailand had never claimed the crown, that is, so far.
It is also a historical moment for Brian Macar, the owner of the country’s Miss World license since 1980, who celebrated his first victory as a national director after joining the forces with the TPN group at the beginning of this year.
While Opal emerged from the airport wearing his crown and Miss World Sash, the atmosphere broke out in applause. The cameras flashed, the fans cried and walked with Grace with each other, visibly holding the tears while the emotion swept her on her. His gratitude and humility were palpable.
The celebration continued with the event “Homecoming 72nd Miss World” and a “celebration parade for the first Miss World of Thailand”, which made its way through the iconic Sukhumvit Road of Bangkok.
Directing to the starting point of the parade, from the opening roof of his car, Opal agitated the Thai flag with pride while the fans brought his posters and aligned with the streets to glimpse the new queen of the nation.
A float similar to a cart led the parade, adorned with elephant idols, the national animal of Thailand, the iconic crown of Miss World and a special throne for the opal in the center.
Thousands of people followed (over 250,000 people spread over two kilometers) while his float made his way through the most popular districts in the capital.
The tribute did not end there. In recognition of his triumph, The Mall Group, one of the greatest retail empires of Thailand, led by President Supaluck Ulupujh, gave Opal a 1 million baht shopping voucher (about 30,000 USD).
The Thai post also announced the release of commemorative stamps that bring its image, transforming its victory into a permanent piece of national history.
Everything took place in the shopping center, where over 3,000 enthusiastic fans gathered for an unforgettable celebration, since the sponsors were thanked for making this possible.
The crowd had the opportunity to ask questions to the opal, make selfie with their queen and share the joy of her historical triumph.
One of the most touching moments arrived in which a group of children joined Miss World on stage and sang the anthem of the organization, “lighting the passion, shares the dream”.
The performance has moved many to tears and perfectly captured the spirit of unity and inspiration that Opal’s victory has turned on.
Throughout the day, Opal remained visibly moved. More than once, he dried the tears, thanking the Thai people for raising it on this trip.
“This crown belongs to all of us,” said a crowd that did not need microphone to hear the emotion in his voice.
In his speech, Opal shared words of wisdom:
“It doesn’t matter who you are or what title you care, someone always looks at you. The best way to drive is with grace and action. This is the most powerful thing that we can give people around us and our world.”
The events of the day served not only in homage to the international triumph of Opal in Hyderabad, India, where he won the 72nd Miss World Festival, but also as a celebration of the values โโof Thailand: grace, resilience and unity.
“We are immensely proud of the opinion. In such a short time, he has shown the strength of his character to the world, a young woman with a kind heart, deeply rooted family values โโand a strong sense of purpose,” said Julia Morley Cbe, president and founder of the Miss World organization.
“His long -standing commitment for the awareness of breast cancer is stimulating, and is a cause that we will defend ourselves together, bringing vital education and support to every corner of the world. Opal represents everything that Miss World represents: beauty with a purpose and the power to raise others.”
It was a day to remember, for Opal, for Thailand and for the Global Miss World family. And while the sun set from Bangkok, the roar of applause lingered into the air, echoing a simple truth: the story had been made and a star had returned home.
And it is only the beginning of his journey as Miss World and a beauty with an ambassador for purposes.
The Miss World Organization Extends Its Deepest Appreciation to Khun Suppaluck Upujh, Chairwoman of the Mall Group, Along With Uob Live, Tero Entertainment, Mr. Brian L. Marcar, Tpn Global, Mr. Wichai Thongerg and Pui Sankosik, Thai Airways International PCL, Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Bangkok, Teng da Intergroup, and Millennium Auto for the Magnificent and Gracious Welcome extended to Miss World 2025 on his return home.
“Your support has helped to create an unforgettable celebration that touched the heart of the Thai people and resounded all over the world.”
