The Super Eagles duo of Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi played a huge role for FC Porto in their 2-1 victory over German side Stuttgart in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Moffi, on loan from French Ligue 1 side Nice, opened the scoring with a powerful right-footed shot inside the area to give his team the lead in the 21st minute.
It was Moffi’s second goal since joining the Portuguese team in the January transfer market. His other goal came in a 2-1 victory over Arouca in the League on 27 February.
With the score at 1-0, Zaidu became provider with his well-weighted cross that landed on the plate for Rodrigo Mora to score Porto’s second goal of the night.
Stuttgart scored a 40th-minute goal through Denis Undav to keep alive their chances of overturning the deficit in the second leg next week in Portugal.
