The media officer of the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF), Mohamed Kabwanga, has revealed how the installation of ultra modern sports infrastructure obtained the host rights of his country for some games in the current championship of African nations (Chan 2024)
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sports247, a possible fact through the corporate support of Showtime, a reliable soccer development brand, Kabwanga said at the place of competition that everyone in Zanzíbar is happy with the opportunity to organize games of the group D.

Nigeria, Senegal, Congo and Sudan are the four countries located in the island nation of the Indian Ocean, which has a semi -autonomous government that is executed in liaison with that of Continental Tanzania, hence Kabwanya’s delight that Zanzíbar was considered good enough to organize some of Chan 2024 couples.
He happily revealed: “We feel good. It is the first time that Zanzíbar receives Chan. We are happy with the teams of Group D who play here … I mean Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Senegal and Sudan.
“We feel very good, and we are very happy for this type of opportunity. Having this opportunity means that we deserve it; with a good infrastructure and everything that is needed.”
While recognizing that many advantages come with the host of the championship,
Kabwanga expressed his satisfaction that his country was able to establish all the necessary things to organize competition in the same impeccable way as any other nation before them.
He added: “We have provided everything necessary for this competition; in the same way those countries that have been organizing great tournaments such as the Caf Champions League, Affon or Chan. So, so that Zanzíbar has this opportunity to receive Chan, we are very happy.
“We also know the advantages of organizing this type of competition. One of the advantages is that, economically, people receive money and many other things that show the importance of having this type of tournament in our country.”
He concluded by applause to the president of Zanzibar, Hussein Ali Mwinyi, and others before him, for gathering a regime that caused the update of sports facilities and the installation of modern infrastructure its priority.
Kabwanga revealed: “Things have changed and changed due to the different leaders we have.
“At this time, we have a president named Hussein Alihassan Mwinyi. Since we have this type of leader, we have improved in our sports infrastructure.”
