More than 40 people were arrested after the raids on the main drugs damaged the “Narco-Boats” gang who was accused of trading cocaine to the EU.
The investigation, nicknamed the Black Shadow operation, saw that police forces from all over the world work together to win nearly 3,800 kilo cocaine, 69 vehicles and € 100,000 (£ 84,232) in cash.
A British citizen was among the 48 arrested during the raid last Tuesday, the National Crimes Agency confirmed to Sky News.
The gang uses a “aircraft carrier” to transport cocaine from South America to the Canary Islands, with 11 speedboats used to transport medicines to the beach.
They even changed the shipwreck that was left to become a fuel filling platform for speedboats and ships, according to Spain Policia Nacional.
Criminal networks use “complex encrypted communication systems” to avoid the police, including the use of satellite terminals, mobile phones that are difficult to trace and code language.
