Mozilla revealed Thundermail to compete with Microsoft 365, Gmail

Mozilla, free open source browser, has launched Thundermail, a new web -based email service that will work with Gmail and Microsoft 365 but with stronger privacy protection and no advertisements or data harvesting.

Along with other tools such as Thunderbird Send to share files, gathering promises for scheduling, and helping AI functions with privacy protection, this new service is part of the “Thunderbird Pro” ecosystem that is larger.

Mozilla has worked for many years to increase Thunderbird to compete better with Microsoft 365 and Gmail with several new updates, which include:

1.) User interface modernized with better design and customization.

2.) Improvement of performance, especially to handle large email accounts.

3.) Advanced privacy features, because Mozilla promotes open-source, alternative ad free.

Although Thunderbird Pro will be a premium service at first, limited access rates can be added later. This is because organizational donation revenues increased from $ 2.8 million in 2021 to more than $ 8.6 million in 2023.
