No less than 50 teams will participate in the 2025 National Table Tennis Championship which is collected to be held in the State of Osun.
Otan Ayegbaju, a historic city in Southwest Nigeria, will host 50 teams from states and clubs throughout the country for the 5th edition of the Michael and Felicia Alabi commemoration competition.
The tournament, sponsored by Michael and the Felicia Alabi Foundation and organized by Osun State Table Tennis Association under the auspices of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF), will take place at the Multi-Purpose Hall Idera at Otan Ayegbaju from April 37 to 3 May 3, 2025.
The participating teams will come from various states including Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Taraba, Nasarawa, Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Delta, Edo, Kwara, Kogi, Ekiti, Katsina, Niger, Zamfara, and the host states,.
The expected clubs include Aruna Sports Club, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), and Nigerian Police.
With more than N11.5 million at stake, the one -week tournament will take place in the newly built Michael and Felicia Alabi commemoration table tennis hall.

Ayodeji Alabi, Chairperson of the Osun State Table Tennis Association, stated that this tournament aims to complete the federation efforts to find new talents and empower youth throughout the country.
To improve this year’s edition, this tournament promises a combination of sports and entertainment, with several artists scheduled to perform every day.
Alabi, a member of the ITTF African Committee, assured that all participants would be accommodated and fed throughout the event to motivate them to do their best.
“Anyone who comes to this tournament will bring a lot of happiness because we have an entertainment space that features many artists. After the match, there will be comedy performances, music performances, and famous disk jockeys. We created a variety of entertainment portfolios for everyone present,” Alabi said.
In addition, the event and deaf will be part of this year’s edition, with athletes competing in various categories including male singles, women’s singles, men’s singles, men’s doubles, female doubles, mixed doubles, single veterans, male singles, women’s singles, singles, and women’s singles, singles, singles, women-singles, singles, singles, singles, singles, singles, singles, singles, singles, singles, singles, singles.
