Naira earned N91 to trade N1576/$1 at the official window

The Naira recovered from days-long slump and traded N1,576/$1 at the official window on Thursday.

Data from the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM) showed that Thursday’s figure was N91 lower than the N1,667/$1 the currency traded at the previous day’s official window.

The naira lost N20 against the dollar in the parallel section of the forex market and traded N1,695/$1 compared to N1,675/$1 previously.

The Naira also lost N10 against the British Pound to trade N2,270/£1 versus N2,260\£1 previously.

The Canadian dollar traded at N1,280| CA$1 is the same as Wednesday’s rate.

The Naira closed flat against the Euro and traded at ₦1,860/€1.
