The Nigerian currency, Naira, was further depreciated by the US dollar on the official market on Wednesday.
Nigerian central bank data (CBN) shows that Naira declined to N1, 608.60/$ 1 compared to N1.606.64/$ 1 which was traded on Tuesday.
This is the loss of N1.96 for local currencies.
In the black market, Naira lost N15 to the dollar to be traded in N1.630/$ 1 compared to the previous day level N1, 615/$ 1.
Naira closes flatly against the British pound to trade at N2.165/£ 1.
Canadian dollars still survive stable at N1.150/Ca $ 1.
Naira lost N20 to Euro to trade in ₦ 1,820/€ 1 compared to ₦ 1,800/€ 1.
