Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has reacted to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen’s desire to leave the club and join Chelsea, saying that Victor Osimhen’s situation is “blocked”.
Osimhen is pushing to leave the Partenopei this summer, but it is rumoured that the interested clubs, Chelsea, Arsenal and PSG, have not yet matched his price.
“It’s an objective fact, what the coach said, the situation is blocked. Victor is an important player, with important value and conditions,” Manna told Sky Sport Italia.
“His desire is clear. We have tried to maintain the integrity of the team at this time. We are not the only club in this situation and we will see what happens in the next 10 days.”
He was asked if the club had any feelings about the Nigerian’s penchant for Chelsea, PSG or Arsenal.
Manna also said that it will be necessary to talk to Osimhen if no club is willing to pay the right amount by the end of the transfer window.
“He has a contract for another two seasons, so it is clear that if we do not find a solution by August 30, we will have to talk to the player,” he said.
