Senator representing the Kogi Central District, Natasha Akpoti-Uuduaghan, swear on Saturday he will be continued at the Senate on July 22.

The Senate suspended Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months on March 6 for violating its rules.

Akpoti-Uduaghan said: “I have enough two months before six months ending. However, I have written to the Senate again telling them that I continued on the 22nd, which on Tuesday, by God’s specific grace.
“I will be there, because the court does make a decision about it. Now, they argue that it is an order – it is not an order, but that is a decision.”
“I do mention that each senator has three main functions. Legislative – which is the creation of law and review of the agreement.
“Then we have supervision – namely overseeing the minister and agency. And then the third is a representation – what I did.
“Where I identify the problems and challenges of my community, and I made sure I presented it and made him captured in a federal budget.
“And I have done it quite well with it. Of course, I miss putting up bills there, but that didn’t stop me to work.”
