The efforts of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in curbing illegal drug transactions received a further increase, following the arrest of a man for presumably imported 414.2 kg of cannabis sativa.
The substance is said to be worth over N200 million value.
Identified as Emami Ajetsibogho, our correspondent has collected that the suspicion was arrested by the agents of the agency attached to the state command of Lagos.
Ajetsibogho, who is said to be the younger brother of a controversial leader of Itsekiri, according to the report he was arrested in Lagos on June 25, 2025, with the substance sealed in black and white nylon taxes, hidden in different bags.
The suspicion of Warri South, Delta State is so influential, is said to be, as according to what has been reported it has escaped many attempts to arrest him.
Our correspondent has collected in a reliable way that a former deputy governor and candidate for the APC lubricator has made frenetic efforts to compromise the NDLEA officials with an offer of sweeping the question under the carpet and bringing out the suspicion, which proved to be aborted.
When contacted, the spokesman for the Lagos state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (Ndlea) Mallum Abdullahi does not confirmed or denied the report, saying that it is outside Lagos.
In the meantime, a group of civil society under the platform of citizens concerned for justice and responsibility has invited all the Nigerians, Delta citizens and well -intentioned security agencies to choose a keen interest in the matter and request an immediate and transparent investigation.
President of the organization based on the state of Warri Delta Casey Wealth in a declaration, said people deserve to know the matter, adding that the culture of impunity must end now.

“For how long we should keep silent while our young people are destroyed and our communities have turned into chaos theaters by the drug lords who hide behind political masks? Let this act as a rally call. Nigeria is not on sale and Delta State is not a playground for anarchy sponsored by narcotics”
