Ndlea caught a woman who was bound by Iran with a hidden cocaine in the private section

The National Medicine Law Enforcement Agency (Ndlea), Femi Babafemi, has caught an Iranian passenger, Ihenekhien Obehi, at Port Harcourt International Airport while trying to smuggle cocaine hidden in his private, stomach and handbags.

The Director of the Ndlea Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, revealed this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

He said Obehi disguised in the hijab, was arrested on Sunday, May 3, 2025, when trying to take a Qatar Airways plane to Iran through Doha.

The Ndlea spokesman said the suspect was arrested with three packets of cocaine in his private section, two hidden packages at the fake bottom of his bag, and 67 pellets he had swallowed.

“During his search, he was found to have put three packs of cocaine into his private part, with two large packages hidden in the fake compartment of his handbag, while he also swallowed 67 pellets from class A. As a result, he was placed under observations of excretion,” Babafemi said.

“After four excretions for several days, he issued all 67 wraps. He claimed he should have swallowed 70 cocaine pellets, but, after swallowing 67, could no longer continue and decided to put his three remaining into his private section. The total weight of three shipments hidden in various parts of his body was 2,523 kilograms.”

Continuing, the statement said:

‘In the same development, Ndlea officers at Muhammated Murtala International Airport, Lagos, intercepted a 22 -year -old British citizen, Campbell Slifer, on Friday, May 9, with two suitcases containing 35 hard packages, strong marijuana strains, weighing 37.6kg.

“Slifer, who was previously sentenced to Britain for drug trafficking and robbery, told investigators that he was recruited in London to gather drugs in Thailand and send it to Nigeria.

“In the state of Niger, the Ndlea operator intercepted the fuel tanker and three other vehicles carrying 246 switching bags, weighing 3,047kg, along Jalan Suleja-Kaduna.

“Four suspects arrested with exhibitions include: Christopher Onyema, 47; Benedict Etineruba Young, 54; Chukwudi Ujue Jerry, 30; and Mohammed Abdullahi Danasabe.

“Apart from the fuel tanker, three other vehicles found from the suspects including the Honda Odyssey buses marked YAB 667 CZ; Bay Bus with a 125 TQ registration number; and other Honda Odysey buses marked by ABJ 230 CN,” he added.

“In Lagos, 1.1kg hard hidden in a pillow from Thailand was intercepted at the courier service center.

“In the State of Bauchi, Ndlea officers who patrol along the Bauchi -Gombe road on Tuesday, May 6, intercepted Toyota Tundra Jeep marked by RBC 111 DW who delivered 526 Sigung Blocks weighing 505kg. Two suspects, Ishak container, 37, and Ikechwu Peter.

“A total of 31 barrels containing 775 liters of coded syrup were found from two suspects Hafizu Isa Umanan, 34, and Ismail Shehu, 48 when the Ndlea operator raided their hiding place in the Rijiyar Zaki area in Kano on Saturday, May 10,” the statement added.
