Ndlea Nabs businessman, wife, daughter to run family drug cartels

The operation of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (Ndlea) has arrested a businessman based in Lagos, Ajah Johnson Uchenna, along with his wife, Rosemary Uchenna, and their two daughters, Stella Uchenna and Ngozi Uchenna, and a family friend, Okoro Elijah, for A Ngozi Uchenna.

Director of Ndlea Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, who revealed this in a statement on Sunday, said the arrest was possible through a credible intelligence meeting by the agency.

He stated that the couple was first arrested on June 13 by the operations of the State Service Department (DSS) in Ojo, Lagos, and moved to Ndlea along with 277.5kg Skunk, following a series of operations by security agents.

The agency spokesman added that when he was still in detention, the agency received information that the drug network was still running on their homes, which led to the attack on July 1 which peaked in the arrest of their daughter and family friends where an additional 231 kg of Skunk was found.

“A businessman, Ajah Johnson Uchenna and his wife Rosemary Uchenna along with their two daughters, Stella Uchenna and Ngozi Uchenna and their family friends Okoro Elia had been detained after the investigation revealed that they were running a large drug distribution network in Lagos,” Babafemi said in the report.

“The couple was first arrested on Friday 13 June by the operators of the Department of State Security (DSS) in the Ojo Negara region and was transferred to Ndlea along with 277.5 kg Sigung.

‘When they were still investigated in detention, credible intelligence revealed that the family business was taking place at his home. This caused the raid of their homes and packaging shops where 231 kg of the same substance was found on Tuesday July 1.

“Three people arrested during the attack include their two daughters: Ngozi Uchenna and Blessing Uchenna and their family friends Okoro Elijah, who run a family business in the absence of the couple.”
