The National Medicine Law Enforcement Agency (Ndlea) said its operations had intercepted the massive shipment of Tramadol capsules who were allegedly heading to rebels in northeast.
According to a statement released on Sunday in Abuja by a spokesman for Ndlea, Femi Babafemi, the agency officer confiscated 104,900 tramadol capsules hidden in the driver compartment of a fuel tanker in Tollgate Abuja/Kaduna on Friday, August 29.
Babafemi revealed that illegal drugs are intended for rebels operating in several parts of Borno State.
“The suspect, Hassan Buba was immediately arrested,” he said.
In a separate operation on Saturday, Ndlea officers arrested another suspect in Gwargwaje, Zaria Checkpoint with 34,150kg Skunk.

On the same day, the operators also captured the main supplier of illegal opioids in Borno shortly after he received shipping from Onitsha, the state of Anambra.
