Special councilor of the Governor of the State of Bayelsa on political issues, the high head of the Collins Cocodia, invited the new elected leadership of Ohaneze Ndi IGBO, chapter Bayelsa, led by Dr. Frank Odunukwe, to encourage transparency, inclusiveness and reconciliation in their administration.
Speaking during a courtesy visit of Dr. Odunukwe and his executive team in his office in Yenagoa, Cocodia underlined the need to dialogue with the harsed members and co-disappearance of the president in the recent elections of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo.
He praised the governor’s efforts to maintain peace in the state and urged the IGBO community to promote unity.
In a press declaration, Patrick Ndubuisi, the media helper in Cocodia, described the meeting as a fundamental step to strengthen the links between the state government and the IGBO community.
Dr. Odunukwe expressed gratitude for the support of the Cocodia and the role of the reconciliation committee in restoring harmony within the socio-cultural group.
The new president undertook to collaborate with the Cocodia office and the state government, promising a peaceful mandate and awareness to all members of the community.
He also announced the imminent inauguration of the executive body, reporting a commitment for unity and cooperation.
The meeting highlights the importance of the partnership between the leaders of the community and the state government to guarantee peace, stability and development in the state of Bayelsa.
