The chief coach of the national senior team of Nigeria, Eric Chelle, has gone from trying to attract Friburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu with another option now firmly in his sight, Owngoalnigeria.com can reveal exclusively.
Atubolu, who has been crowned by Germany, on several levels of young people, is still eligible to play for Nigeria and his recent running streak with ten clean leaves in 24 games, including the acquisition of six consecutive games has revived conversations about his international future.
However, the 22 -year -old who is currently injured is firmly focused on getting into the German configuration, and despite being proud of his Nigerian heritage, his goal is to ascend to the qualification and be a senior international with Germany instead of Nigeria.
That decision is largely the reason why he has rejected all the previous advances to play for Nigeria, and Chelle has realized the story with him forcing him to settle for a new option in Arthur Okonkwo on the side of the English League Wrexham.
The 23 -year -old has been a revelation this season for the promotion that pursues the side with 15 clean leaves, since they close in a place sealed in the English championship. They are currently in the second place behind Birmingham leaders.
Okonkwo, who has represented England on several levels of young people, will meet with Chelle next month when the Super Eagles play with the invitational tournament of the four nations in England. Contacts have already been established with him and his representative about the idea.
