NFF accepts invitation for Super Eagles to play a high -profile friendly tournament with England, Ghana, Jamaica

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says that it has accepted an invitation to be part of a friendly tournament for the team in England at the end of the current European season, reports Owngoalnigeria.com.

Multiple reports in Ghana citing the president of the Black Star Management Committee, Dr. Randy Abbey, ran with the story, and was summoned by saying that there is still no specific date for the tournament, but it will definitely be in the month of June.

“Fortunately, the technical team and management will have the opportunity to work more on the team because, in June, we do not have qualifiers. Therefore, we are playing a friendly four nations in England. And I am sure it will be an opportunity for coaches to do more work in the team,” he told 3Sports.

“We hope that some of the injured players also return and will have the opportunity to play at least two games before September,” he added

Whe sought to know of an NFF member who was on the same flight with a member of our Uyo to Abuja editorial team after covering the 1-1 super-Eagles draw against Zimbabwe. “Yes, we will play a four team tournament in England at the end of the season. There will be an official announcement when all the arrangements are made,” he concluded.
