NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, dedicates his Wafu post to the Nigerians

The recently installed President of the Western African Soccer Union (WAFU) Zone-B, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has dedicated his new position in the regional body to all Nigerians and all those who supported him to achieve this milestone, reports Sports247.

While noting that the last time Nigeria enjoyed first place in the regional governing body of football was more than 20 years ago, Gusau said that its elevation was possible due to unwavering support that you are receiving to run the round leather game for the country.

Gusau also admitted that the advances he has been able to achieve as president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) made its promotion to Wafu-B affairs possible, and thanked all those who made it possible.

He said as a result of his new position on Wednesday, “First, let me thank them. It is good to celebrate when you see that someone else has been given the opportunity to lead an organization. Throughout the line, he has the opportunity to go higher and is now organized for something bigger. It means that he is receiving support from all the people he is working with.”

Gusau humbly admitted that he could not have pilot Nigerian football effectively if he did not have the proper support of workers, officials, media and all interested parties.

He continued, “If people are not giving me all the necessary support, you may not have full confidence and privilege of exposing myself to that level. Therefore, I must thank everyone for their support for the period of time that God has given us to the affairs of the Federation.”

Then he talked about his preparation and ability to face the challenges of executing Wafu B effectively, regardless of the barriers of language, the diverse distances and interests of all nations that are members of the subregion.

“I am not afraid, and I must say that I am delighted because the last time someone from Nigeria occupied this position should be about 20 years ago; that was Dr. Amos Adamu.

“Nigeria is now much ahead. We cannot be in a regional body, and we don’t have someone who has the ability to be in charge of the issues of that organization.” Gusau said.
