NGX: Persistent Strong Performance Pushes Investor Profits Passing N1Tr in 3 Days

The equity market closed positively once again on Thursday, extending running bullish for the third session in a row.

This is even when investors get the N508BN, encouraging equity market profit margins through the N1 trillion sign in 3 days.

The Equity Market obtained the N321BN after returning to the Easter holiday on Tuesday while recording the N342 billion profit on Wednesday.

This follows the surge in stock prices such as Nestle Nigeria (Nestle), Eterna PLC (eterna) and Lafarge Wapco (WAPCO), among others, on the trading floor.

After five hours of trading in the capital market, equity capitalization increased to ₦ 66.667 trillion from ₦ 66.159 trillion recorded by the exchange on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, after the market continued from the Easter holidays.

The All-Share Index (ASI) benchmark increased to 106,074.26 points from 105,305.25

The extent of the market is positive because 43 shares advanced, 14 shares declined, and 63 shares remained unchanged in 12,142 agreements.

Nestle, eterna, and Wapco lead other acquisitions with 10% growth each in prices closed at N1.100, N79.20 and N36.30 from N1,000, N72.00 and N33.00 per previous share.

John Holt PLC (Johnholt), Haldane McCall (HMCALL) and Multiverse Mining & Exploration (Multiverse) lead other prices with 10%, 9.96% and 9.83% decreased each in the stock price to be closed at N6.30, N4.70 and N7.80 from N7.00 before, N5.22 and N7.6 per share.

In the volume index, the Access Holdings PLC (Accesscorp) led trade with 48 million shares in 840 agreements, followed by Fidelity Bank PLC (FidelityBK) who traded 40 million shares in 445 agreements.

Guarantee Trust Holding (GTCO) trading 17 million shares in 540 agreements.

In the value index, MTN Nigeria (MTNN) appeared as the top stock traded, collecting N1.4 billion in 438 offers, followed by Access Holdings PLC (Accesscorp) which trade equity worth N1.1 billion in 840 offers.

Guarantee Trust Holding (GTCO) shares traded worth N1 billion in 540 agreements.
