Niger – DELTA: the Tinubu directive to CDS has reduced the theft of crude oil, enhanced production – group

A support group at the congress of all first -line progressives, the APC basic governance group (APC G3) said that President Bola Tinubu President Bola Tinubu has led to the reduction of the theft of crude oil in the Niger delta and increased production.

The group said that it has significantly increased the revenue for the federal government and states, thus increasing economic development.

In a press release signed by the national coordinator, APC G3, Amechi Chuks. Oyemma, praised the military guided by the head of the general defense Christopher Musa for bringing the directive to the latter.

He said that the presidential directive for the CDs and other parties concerned in 2024 is already producing positive results and increasing the revenue of the country.

According to APC G3 “the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) report revealed that daily losses of crude oil rose went down to a minimum of 16 years of 9,600 barrels per day (BPD) starting from 2025.”

“The NUPRC report is a testimony of the determination of this administration to reduce the theft of crude oil in the Niger-delta.”

“We in APC G3 attribute this company to the 2024 presidential directive. It is already producing positive results.

“We appeal to the parties concerned in support of the federal government, the armed forces and every organization saddened for having faced the theft of crude oil.

“An increase in oil production is an increase in the revenue of the country that lead to a correct implementation of our budget,” added the group.

According to the NUPRC, the raw oil losses due to inaccuracies for theft and measurement collapsed at 9,600 BPDs, a significant improvement compared to the high -loss years that have afflicted the oil industry of Nigeria. Between January and July 2025, total losses amounted to 2.04 million barrels, with an average of 9,600 BPDs in the seven months. This marks the lowest loss rate since 2009, when daily losses have reached a minimum record of 8,500 BPDs.
