Niger State Won’t Take Part in Anti-Tinubu Protest – Governor Bago – TrendyNewsReporters

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has said that the state’s youth will not join the planned nationwide protest against hunger and economic hardship, which is scheduled to begin later this month.

Governor Bago described the youth of Niger State as peaceful and law-abiding, saying they had no reason to participate in the organised protest.

He made this statement during a public meeting with stakeholders held at the Justice Legbo Kutigi Conference Centre in Minna, the state capital, on Thursday, July 18.

Bago said;

“Dialogue is the best way to solve problems. We, as the youth of Niger State, have distanced ourselves from the national protest because we are peaceful and we want peace and tranquility. If we start a demonstration, we cannot solve the problem and the demonstrations will continue, but dialogue and understanding are the only answers and so to the youth who are agitating for this protest, let’s put an end to these agitations, let’s communicate and dialogue on the best way forward.”
