Nigeria-France Sports Awards to Celebrate Excellence as SSA of President Adeyinka Adeboye Honored Among Top Dignitaries

The stage is set for another night of glamour, recognition and transcontinental celebration as the third edition of the Nigeria-France Sports Awards takes center stage on Sunday, October 20, 2025 at the prestigious La Maison des Arts, in Paris, France.

The annual event, which celebrates the outstanding contributions to sports development and international cooperation between Nigeria and France, is expected to attract dignitaries from across the sporting, diplomatic and business communities.

Among this year’s distinguished honorees is Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye, who will be recognized for his exceptional leadership, passion for youth empowerment and transformative initiatives driving sports growth at the community level across Nigeria.

Adeboye’s efforts to champion grassroots sports – from promoting youth participation in local leagues to inspiring private sector investment in community development – ​​have not only redefined the implementation of sports policy but also strengthened Nigeria’s global sporting reputation.

Organizers of the Nigeria-France Sports Awards described this year’s edition as “a bridge of excellence between nations, built on shared passion, innovation and the power of sports.”

The event will include award presentations in several categories including sports diplomacy, grassroots development, women in sports and international sports collaboration, along with a cultural exhibition and gala dinner celebrating the best of Nigerian and French heritage.
