Nigeria v Guinea: Super Eagles to be tested before AFCON

The stage is set for Nigeria’s first friendly match against Guinea, in a preparatory game for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria and Guinea, both competing at this year’s Cup of Nations, will clash on Monday, January 8 in Abu Dhabi.

Monday’s friendly match will serve as the sole warm-up game for the Eagles, who initially planned matches against Burkina Faso and Cape Verde, both of which were later canceled.

The match against Guinea will conclude Nigeria’s one week training camp in Dubai, with the team scheduled to return to the Country on January 9, before departing for Ivory Coast via Lagos the next day.

Coach Jose Peseiro’s side will kick off their Group A match against Equatorial Guinea on January 14, followed by clashes with host nation Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau on January 18 and 22, respectively.
