Nigerian army targets Abia youth for recruitment

The Nigerian army has begun a targeted awareness campaign in all of Abia’s state to encourage young men and women to participate in sustainable recruitment for 90 recruitment intake (90 RRI).

According to a statement issued by Lieutenant Anna Tsaku, Assistant Director Acting, Army Community Relations, 14 Ohafia Brigade on Thursday, sensitization encouragement is part of a broader effort to inform and guide potential applicants through the recruitment process.

This initiative participated in the official opening of the online application portal on September 19, giving Nigerian youths who met the opportunities for their application.

“This application provides a unique opportunity for young Nigeria to register at the Nigerian Army and serve the nation with pride, courage and honor,” the statement said.

The army stressed that the purpose of this campaign was not only to raise awareness but also to attract the right recruitment caliber.

According to the statement, “The Nigerian army remains committed to attracting disciplined and dedicated young people who are ready to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity and contribute to national security.”

Lieutenant Tsaku noted that the recruitment process offers more than just registration – this is a path to a meaningful and structured career. “Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive military training and get access to various career paths,” he said.

As part of the campaign, young people throughout Abia were urged to visit the official recruitment portal, [www.recruitment.army.mil.ng](http://www.recruitment.army.mil.ng), to complete their applications and carefully follow the guidelines provided.

The army also stressed that the process was fully transparent and free of charge. “The Nigerian Army stressed that the recruitment process was fully free. Applicants were warned to be careful of fraudsters and immoral people who might try to exploit them,” the statement warned.

The 14 brigade sensitization effort aims to ensure the maximum participation of the Abia youth, because the army continues to look for the next generation of committed Nigerians who are ready to serve and protect.
