ADMISSION PROCEDURE

We are delighted that you are considering joining our vibrant university community. Admission to the NBU is open to all, regardless of nationality, gender, physical ability and religion, provided the applicant meets the admission requirements.

This guide will walk you through the steps you need to take to apply for admission to our prestigious institution.

Step 1: Choose your program:

  • Before you begin your application, explore our wide range of undergraduate programs.

Step 2: Confirm admission procedures:

• Nigerian candidates:

  • At least five ordinary level credits passed in SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NABAIS) or their equivalent in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings, with an acceptable score in
  • UTME in relevant subjects as specified by JAMB.

• Foreign applicants: Foreign applicants must provide their corresponding examination results as well as academic transcripts from previous high schools.

• Transfer and Direct Entry Students: Must have completed one of the following programmes: OND, NCE, HND, ‘A’ level GCE, JUPEB and IJMB or any other higher qualification approved and recognised by JAMB.

Step 3: Check the admission requirements:

  • Make sure you meet the specific entry requirements for your chosen programme. To be eligible for the British Nigerian Scholarship
  • Undergraduate programs at the university, you must meet our entry requirements

Step 4: Complete the application form

  • Complete the online application form available on our Admissions Portal. Ensure that all information provided is accurate and up to date. Review your application carefully before submitting. Once satisfied, submit your application through the Admissions Portal.

Step 5: Wait for the admission decision

  • Your application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Decisions are typically communicated via email within a few weeks of application submission. We will keep you updated on the status of your application, including any additional documents or information that may be required. Successful applicants will receive a provisional admission letter outlining next steps.

Step 6: Accept your provisional offer of admission.

  • When you receive a provisional offer of admission letter, confirm your acceptance by following the instructions in your offer letter to secure your place in the program and prepare for the onboarding process. This includes paying the designated admission fee.

Step 7: Prepare for integration

  • Once your acceptance and fee payment is confirmed, you will receive an onboarding checklist outlining what to expect during onboarding and how to prepare for onboarding.
